Clinical Social Work/Therapist, LCSW

Kelly Adams is a licensed clinical social worker in Richmond who focuses on children and teens. She helps young people affected by recent changes, stress or past trauma, and by anxiety, low mood, anger or low self-esteem, and she also works with ADHD, OCD, grief, family concerns and LGBTQ+ issues. She partners closely with parents, holding regular parent sessions alongside the child's therapy, and tailors evidence-based methods to each child to build self-understanding and resilience. Her approaches include EMDR, exposure and response prevention, CBT, DBT, Internal Family Systems and attachment-based work.
