Casey Jane Wawro is a licensed clinical social worker in Brookline who specializes in working with athletes. Her clients range from college competitors and professional players to those facing retirement or other identity shifts beyond their sport. She helps adults with anxiety, disordered eating and body image, trauma, injury, burnout and the pressure of high expectations, especially people who have rarely been encouraged to be vulnerable or talk about mental health. Working from a psychodynamic, relational and trauma-informed lens, she helps clients build a steadier sense of self beyond their athletic role.
